A letter that pars a tribute to the efficiency and up-to-date nature of the Christchurch. Public Library has been received by the librarian. Mr E. Bell. It was written by Mr \Y. T. Hooper, who recently took charge of the lending library at Falmouth. England. The writer stated that he had heard from a Christchurch citizen who was in Kalmouih of the popularity of the Christchurch library, and asked Mr Pell to forward particulars of the Ifbrary organisation, a copy of the rules and regulations, and also re-
quested advice in tegavrl to the system of dealing with juveniles. Mr Bell said yesterday that ir seemed to him to he a remarkable thing that the Fair mouth librarian should have sent a letter over l-I.GOQ miles of ocean to ask advice, when he might have got it closer at hand. It represented a tribute of the highest nature to the Christchurch "Library, and he was extremely pleased to have received the letter.
