BOTTLE'S LONG DRIFT.

WELLINGTON. June 27. The Marine Department lias received word that a bottle thrown overboard from the schooner Coronation, off Matakawa Point, near East Gape, on Mac 21. 1922. was picked up recently on the beach at Green Island, fourteen miles east of i aims on the Great Barrier Reef. The bottle thus took over three years to drift fifteen hundred odd miles. A light south-easterly breeze was blowing when it was cast overboard.
