ROTOMA TRAGEDY.
INQUEST CONCLUDED. Per Press Association. ROTORUA. June 24. The inquest touching tlic death of Uarl Olsen, aged thirty-nine, and Mary Eileen Moors, aged fourteen, of lionitiu, Hamilton, who were, found dead with gun shot wounds at Lake Rotoma on May 1, was continued to-day. Evidence was given that the girl Moors went to jive with an aunt in Hastings in April. Olsen, who lived with the girl's parents, left Horotiu Inear on May I. Two days later advice was received that the girl had left, her aunt’s home. Deceased, Olsen, had been worrying over a motor-car accident which occurred at Horotiu on April L when two people in the car driven by him were killed. On May -1 a workman assisted deceased to extricate the car on the beach of Lake Rotoma. A few minutes later shots were heard, and both deceased were found dead near the car. Oisen was shot in the mouth and the. girl in the 1 >rca a A slu>t tcne< 1 sinitgun wa s found in Olsen's hands. The jury returned a verdict. Ihat the girl Moors was shut by Olsen, who then shot himself.
