M’lntyre, assistant The Building- Committee reported that a letter had been received from tho committee of the Moana School agreeing to the hoard’s proposal to establish a. central school midway between Moana. and Ruru to serve the scholars of both districts. Tt was resolved that the chairman of the board be asked to select a suitable site and that application bo made to the Department for a grant for the erection of the proposed new' school. The committee of the Beckenham School had applied for the screening off of a. corner of the corridor next to flic dental clinic for a teachers’ room, and suggested that curtains b© hung from railings supported by suitable standards. It was resolved to inform th© committee that the necessary permission would be given for the provision of the curtains provided the board in the matter. P ° J cspensc The report was adopted.
