As the Royal train steamed through Inc famous Sabie Game Reserve in Northern Transvaal, the Prince was able to see something of tbe primitive life of South Africa. There were herds of black wildebeeste and other wild game, which could have been shot from ill© train windows. The Prince was vremendously interested in this panorama of wild life. Some hours later the travellers came upon four hugs bonfires in the bush. The train was stopped and the Prince alighted. lie saw hundreds of wild natives dancing a mad fandango in the firelight. It was a weird and novel scene illustrative of the sharp contrasts in South African life.
