WEDDING. A VETS Y—BEADEL. In heoutiful sunshine the wedding ••as o©l©brated tlsis afternoon of Nanc-v Elizabeth, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs U. K. Bean el., Fendalton, to Alan Master?, younger son of Mrs Avery, Hawke’s Bay. >t. Mnvy's Church.. Meri- ▼ ale, where the nodding took place, wa,% beautifully decorated with palms, pot plants and chrysanthemums. The Iter Archdeacon I*. ]». Haggitt performed the ceremony and Air Baris Hunt presided at the organ. Jhe bride who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful gown of ivory Mtin, made on straight lines, the long j tunic bodice was severely plain and I tho skirt was draped with exquisite* j ©ld lace falling to a pointed panel at one sick?. The long tight fitting sleeve? • formed a point at the wrist and were j finished with a narrovf piping. Her . t*ain, actacVrU to the shoulders of ; her gown, was of satin, lined with ; deep cream georgette, and was rucked and then fell lull, and a cluster of orange blossom buds was arranged at j the hem. Her veil, of old Limerick lace, was held with a spray of orange blossoms at each side and fell long over her gown and train. She carried a. bouquet- *of pink and white flowers. Five bridesmaids were in attendance : —Miss Mafcerly Be a del. sister of the bride. Miss Joan Reid (Oamaru), Miss Frena Tylee (Masterton, cousin of the bridegroom), Miss Lei tics Tapper and Miss Allison Beadel (cousin of the bride). All maids j were dressed alike in becoming frocks j of iris mauve georgette made on j •t raight lines with box pleated panels j placed round the sides of the skirt and an appliqued dc-sigjn, stitched with (gold, of large deep pink and gold roses placed at <?a r h side, low on the front panel. Their hats of mauve velvet. ribbon, were close fitting and a ribbon how lined with gold tissue was arranged from the crown centre down one side of the crown. They carried posies of vari-sbaded flowers. The bridegroom-was attended by Mr .Guy Beadel. as best man. A reception was held Inter at the home of the bride’s parents, the house where the guests were received was beautifully decorated with shaded chrysanthemums. Afternoon tea was served in a large marquee erected on the lawn, and the tables were decked with chrysanthemums ami spring flowers. Mrs Beadel received her guests veering a handsome gown of navy blue satin npolonne. with a border of deep cream hue edging the tunic, and a plain 1 hat of navy blue. She carried a bouquet of violets. Mrs Avery, mother of the bridegroom, wots a frock of navy blue charmen.se and hat ©it suite. When Mr and Airs Alan Avery left for their wedding tour, the bride travelled in a. smart silk knitted suit of sand colour, and a sleeveless slit coat of deep ru=t with facings to match the dress, and a hat of light sand corded silk ribbon with a touch of a icep brown.
