OBITUARY.
MRS J. AI. JEN.N'LNUb Airs J. AI. Jennings, who passed avraj at Tinwald yesterday, in her ninetyseventh year, was well known as a school teacher throughout Canterbury. Deceased came to Canterbury in 1859, in the ship Clontarf. She was tho first, head mistress of the Church School, at Papanui, and also of the Papanui State School for over twenty years. Later she and her daughter ■ conducted a private school at Papanui for many years, eventually settling at Tinwuld. Deceased leaves a largo number of relatives to mourn her passing
