WEDDINGS.
INGRA M—OKM E. On Friday afternoon a. wedding took place at the Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church, Akarca, when Alatilda, elder daughter of Air and Airs A. AV. Orme, Robinson’s Bay, was married to Robert Cyril Ingram, an officer of the Union Steamship Company. The Ilev J. T. Tylee oftieiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of oyster grey marocain, simply i made, but with long tight-fitting | sleeves. She wore a smart grey hat. I finished with an ostrich plume, and shoes and stockings to tone. She carried a beautiful bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maiden-hair fern. The bride was attended by her sister, Aliss Alary Orme, as bridesmaid, who was dressed in a beautiful frock of electric blue marocain, slightly frilled at the sides. She wore a black bat and carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums ancl maiden-liair fern. Air Noel Duxbury attended the bridegroom as best man. After tho ceremony a. reception was hold at the Kowhai tea rooms, where Mrs Orme, mother of tlv» bride, received upwards of fifty guests. She wore a- handsome fawn wool gabardine frock. and a block hat with white trimmings finished with art osprey When tho bride left on her wedding tour she wore a handsome navy wool marocain frock with Oriental trimmings and a small black hat with trimmings to tone, also a fawn velour coat edged with fur. Mrs A. J. Orme, sister-in-law of rite bride. wore a smart navy blue tailor-made costume and black hat. Airs At tiler, Lyttelton, wore a black marocain frock, fur wrap and hat to tone. f Ol .- V M B V B —G R E N FEL L. A wedding was recently celebrated at St Saviour's Church, Sydenham, when Amelia, elder daughter of Mr William Grenfell and tho late Mrs Cicely Grenfell, S prey don, was married to William, only son of Air and Mrs AVilliam t'llunibus, Opawa.. The ceremony was performed by tho Rev Canon Mutter and Air Hoskins presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by Air J. Bovcc, wore a simple frock of ivory taffetas with sleeves and waterfull panels of fine lace caught, at the side with a pearl ornament. Her silk net veil, hand-embroidered with arum lilies, fell to the hem of her frock front a Russian coronet of pearls and orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of hothouse flowers, with tulle and ribbon streamers. Misses Valerie and Doris Columbus, sisters of the bridegroom, attended the bride as bridesmaids, the farmer wearing helio and silver shot taffetas, with silver lace- sleeves and sido panels with' ostrich feather mount at side. The latter wore a pretty frock of apple green satin, cut on straight lines with georgette godets of same colour. Both maids wore large picture hats of tulle and silver tissue, with laced crown effect, trimmed with large rose and tulle scarves, and carried shower bouquets to tone with their frocks. The bridegroom was attended by Air AN illiam Grenfell, brother of the bride, as best man. and Air Neil Angus tv as groomsman. The wedding breakfast was held at the Cafe Cecil, High Street, where a' reception was also held at night, and some seventy guests spent the evening in dancing. Musical items were given by Aliss Bessie Browne, Aliss Norma Towart, Aliss Peters and Air Frank Alacdonald. When Air and Airs Columbus left for their wedding tour the bride wore a tailored grey frock, grey hat with ostrich feather mount, and a brown fur coat.
