THE OXFORD STRIDES.
BY
SINBAD.
The critic oftentimes our town derides, as being: much harassed l.>v foolish fads, and so it's good to know the Oxford Strides, have not yet been adopted by the lads. The Scotsman loves to swagger in a kilt, a garment showing great expanse of knee., ail very fine for fellows broadly built, byl 'iis a style not suited quite for me. And they I’m told affect no strides at all, who, savage-like, in tropic countries live, but bags in foldings numberless that tall, arc Oxford Varsity's prerogative. It’s rumoured that the sight is very line, when students sweet* the street in style legs in line, when full outstretched wiil reach from fence to fence. Vet never will the fad be favoured here, nor will such fashions e’er our city strike, the Oxford Strides have beauties, it is clear, but who in such attire could ride a bike.
