Oldham and Detective Macphorson on charges of conspiring, together with O’Sullivan and Fowler, unlawfully to obtain money from one ( allaghan, a hotel-keeper, is proceeding. Since the case was previously before the Court Senior-Detective W. R. Fowler has disappeared and Detective L. O’Sullivan has become an inmate oi’ a- receiving home and is under the care of mental specialists. The defence is a complete denial of the charge. Counsel for Macpherson claimed that never had such a cock and bull story been, told before a. Court.
