OVERNIGHT SUMMARY. A shipping deal that will Lie ol interest to M'cst Toasters, and particularly Hokitika, was completed at Auckland last week, when Mr G. A. Mood, of Hokitika, purchased from the .Northern Steamship Company the s.s. Orcwa, a smart steamer of ninety tons carrying capacity, with light draught md excellent passenger accommodation, suitable, for Hokitika harbour. The vessel leaves Auckland about Thursday tor Hokitika. 'ia Wellington. Mr John Bruce, a member of the Highways Board, addressed a meeting of the Wairewa County Council on Monday.
