The official report of the conference between the Trades Union Congress Council and Tomsky's Russian delegation states; " A new war, more terrible and monstrous than anything so far known, is being prepared, and new 7 weapons are being devised. So-called Disarmament Conferences are merely encouraging dangerous illusions, and. are being held to deceive the workers and lull them into a false feeling of safety. '' The only power that can save mankind from another universal catastrophe, and also defend the workers of all countries against political and economic oppression and tyranny, is. they affirm, that of a well organised and properly 7 disciplined, working class, determined to fight all who oppose its complete emancipation.’’
