KELLY—TOVEY. A wedding was celebrated on Wednesday afternoon at St Paul’s Church, j Cashel Street, when 31 avis, only j daughter of Mrs C. Tovey and the late ; G. H. Tovey, of Merivale, was married to Bernard, son of the late F. J. i Kelly, of London. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev W. Bower ; Black. i The bride, who was given away by ! Mr A. Laureusou, wore a becoming ' frock of hand-made filet lace. Her : beautifully embroidered veil was held in place with a Russian coronet, and she carried a sheaf of pink roses. Miss Vera King, of Hokitika, attended as bridesmaid in an attractive frock of accordion pleated corn flower blue georgette with a panel in front of silver blue brocade. She wore a blue tulle hat trimmed with pink and blue forget-me-nots and silver streamers, and carried a "V ictorian posy of powder blue hydrangea. The bridesmaid, Miss Aileen Pope, wore a smart frock of pale lemon crepe de chine with a blackpicture hat. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of choice mauve flowers, with touches of pink. Two little i flower girls, Isobel C alder and Helen ' Gant-, wore dainty frocks of pale blue crepe de chine relieved with tiny pink , rose-buds with silver threads. and | hands on their hair to match. Both j carried shell-pink posies with maiden ; hair fern. The bridegroom was at- ! tended by Mr George Pitcher. After the ceremony at the church a reception was held at Dixieland. The tables were tastefully decorated with pink and white flowers. The bride’s mother received the guests. She wore a becoming frock of mole crepe marocain, with Oriental trimmings, anti hat to match. She carried a beautiful bouquet of red roses. Later the happy couple left for their honeymoon, the bride wearing a smart fawn coat frock trimmed with ! Oriental braid. with long Oriental tassel at one side, and hat and shoes i to match.
