TO THE EDITOR Sir.—Flies are said to be one of th® carriers of infantile paralysis, and I can well believe it, for the present moist season has been remarkable for the great number of flies seen in back ’ gardens even when absolute cleanli- » ness is observed. Now the flies are increasing with the number of windfalls under fruit trees, etc., and it • would not be a bad thing for those ‘ having orchard trees to see that their , gardens are cleaned up. The fly menace is very real, and nobody is exempt. * T think the cases of infantile paralysis * prove that.- I am, etc. OBSERVER. I
