Roderick M’Lennan. a famous Pinkerton detective from Chicago, »e----signed and went to Calgary on a farm. Hr was a lone repairing a roof when lie fell off and broke both bis legs. He tired a revolver to attract attention. When his ammunition failed he set lire to the house and then the granary. Nobody came. Finally a pedlar arrived and transported him to hospital with both his legs frozen. He died
