A Channel boat train was derailed in a tunnel at Le Havre and a goods train collided with the derailed coaches. One Englishman was killed and two injured. SYDNEY. November 9. Armistice Day was celebrated by a general march past of citizen forces on Saturday. To-day there were- open air and church military parades with special references to the day in the churches. MEXICO CITY, November 6. Tlie Minister for Foreign Affairs ordered that all Mexican Consulates in Canada and other British Dominions shall bo closed on November 20 in accordance with tbe decision to sever commercial relations with Britain. LONDON. November 8. The Union Steam Ship Company’s motor ship Aorangi has been completed, and is- now awaiting her trials. One thousand Australian and New Zealand passengers have booked their passages by her. MELBOURNE. November 9. In accordance with the decision not to supply steam for overtime work the doukoymen on inter-State steamers ceased work at noon on Saturday and will resume work at eight o'clock on Monday morning. LONDON, November S. Reuter’s Mayence correspondent says that numerous fire brigades are fighting the flames at the Mont Oerim mine, at Sol ingen, following an explosion of a benzine tank. Reuter’s correspondent at Perpignan, the gateway to Spain, in the department of Pyrenees •■Orion talcs, states that twenty armed Spaniards who have been arrested, have confessed that they were engaged in a plot against the Spanish Directory. SYDNEY. November 8. Several minor affrays between wharf labourers from the Shipping Labour Bureau and others occurred at AVooloomooloo when the men knocked off. The trouble arose through bystanders using certain epithets towards the bureau men as they passed. The police were quickly on the scene and no serious injuries were reported. PEKIN, November 7. General YVu Pei-fu is now aboard a transport in the Ohi-foo harbour. The Bank of China and its branches have been closed, fearing the possible landing of troops. Three more American destroyers bavo arrived, and the American naval authorities have arranged t-o land four parties of 60 men each, who will bo stationed in the foreign settlement.
