ST HELENS HOSPITAL.
RESIGNATION OF MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT. Dr Douglas Anderson has resigned from the position of Medical Superintendent of Sr, Helen’s Hospital, a position ho has held for four yearß. In announcing Dr Anderson's resignation. Dr T. Fletcher Telford. Medical Officer of Health. told a reporter that the Department very much regretted I)r Anderson's resignation. which was due entirely to tho increasing demands made on his time by his private practice. During the four years Dr Anderson had been Medical Superintendent of St Helens Hospital he had discharged his duties with credit ■to himself and to the entire satisfaction of the Department. Dr Anderson had been asked to postpone terminating his appointment till the end of the present year, and he (Dr Telford* understood that he. would consent to do eo The Department wished Dr Anderson every success in his private practice, and it was hoped that a successor would be obtained who would carry out the duties of the position in accordance with the high standard maintained by Dr Anderson.
