WORK ACCEPTED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 30. Notwithstanding the action of tho Workers’ Union, shearers are accepting engagement at the present i ates. Ii is alleged by tho owners that, if the sliding scale offered during the slump had been accepted by the union the men would now be getting 30s, but they insisted on a fixed rate.
