On Sunday a. Timaru wireless amateur, Mr H. B. Courtis, established another record for long-distance reception in copying the signals of the s.s. Bowdoin (WNP) at present at Etah, North Greenland, with the Dr Macmillan north pole expedition. The signals, although not strong, were quite clear and easily readable. The Bowdoin was working the headquarters of the American Radio Relay I/eague.
