TO THE EDITOR. Sir, The Lin wood Tennis Club Inst evening took a “snap” vote on Sunday tennis, and decided to prohibit it. Such a method of adding to the rules is quit© unconstitutional, and those responsible probably know it. The proper way is to give notice of motion. I submit that the club should hold a special meeting to discuss the matter. Then every one can come along prepared to vote as he or she thinks, and not be swayed by the arguments of men who have the use of private courts and the leisure to play six, if not seven days a week. The average player has to be content with Saturday afternoon (if fine) and it is time he had the privilege of playing on Sundays. The matter is surely one for personal conscience, and there ought to be no force one way rr the other. I am, etc., LIN WOOD MEMBER,
