Several matters in connection with the Commerce Hall proposal were dis-
cussed by the council of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce last night. After consideration in committee of reports from two sub-committees, the president (Mr Stronach Paterson) reported that the council had given authority for the. signing of the lease of the old municipal buildings (which it is proposed to use as the. headquarters of the chamber and other kindred organisations).
