Miss Amy Thomas, of Christchurch, is spending a holiday in Napier. Mr and Mrs I*. E. Bean, and the Misses Mary and Ada Bean. Biocarton, who have been visiting Wiamate, have returned to Christchurch. The committee in charge oF the jumble sale to he- held in the Foresters’ Hall on Tuesday, in aid of the orphans, report, that they have been very successful in obtaining an excellent stock of clothing, produce, etc. The close of the Redcliffs Bridge Chib's season was marked by an evening held at the residence of Mr and Mrs O. Williams. Progressive bridge was played, for which the prizes were won by Miss Souter and Mr Johnson. The prizes for the season were won by -Miss Frances Hamilton and Mr Johnson.
