WELLINGTON, July 24 Derailment of a van on a goods train at Pukerua yesterday delayed the Napier express for some time. A goods train had been switched into a siding, to make way for the express, but the end van was not quite clear of the main line, and the express locomotive struck it. The van was tilted over so that the line was blocked. Some damage was done to the engine, necessitating the despatch of another locomotive from Paekakariki to take the express on.
