IOTGHTH ROUKD. Owing" to some hitch only about half tlie games in the secondary schools competition were played yesterday. Neither Christ's College nor St "Bede's College took part in any games. Third Grade. The only game played in the third grade was between West Christchurch District High School and St Andrews’ College. This took place on Albion ground. South Park and resulted in a win for West Christchurch by 19 points to S. Iteferee. Mr C. W. Allard. The matches. Boys’ High School A. v. Christ’s College. B and Christ’s College A. v. Boys’ High School B were not. Technical College had the bye. Fourth Grade. Two games took place in this grade whilst another went by default. At the St Andrew’s College Ground Technical College A defeated St Andrew’s College by <6 points to o. Referee, Mr L. W. Stewart. At the polo grounds. Technical College B defeated Boys’ High School A by 17 points to nil. Referee, Mr L. B. Quartermain. As West Christchurch District High School have withdrawn from this grade, their match against Technical College C went to Technical by default. The match Boys’ High School C v. St Bede’s College and Christ’s College A v. Boys’ High School B were not cfhrist’s College B had the bye. Colt’s Grade. Only two out of the three games in this grade were played yesterday. Boys’ I-ligh School, at the polo grounds, defeated West Christchurch Boys’ High School by 38 points to nil. Referee. Mr G. M. M’Kenzie. At the polo grounds. Technical College defeated St Andrew’s College by 41 points to nil. Referee, Mr C. J. GoldThe game between St Bedes College and Christ's College was not played. Light-weight A grade. Two out of three games were played in this grade. At the St Andrew's ground, Strowan, St Andrews College defeated Technical College B by IS points to nil. Referee, Mr J. H. Murdoch. At the polo grounds, Technical College A defeated Boys’ High School A by 2S points to nil. Referee, Mr G. S. A. Biltcliff. The game between St Bedes’ College and Boys’ High School B was not played. Light-weight B Grade. Two games were also played in this S Technical College C, at Merivale ground North Park, defeated Cathedral Grammar School by 3 points to nil. Referee, Mr M. Keys. At Technical College ground, at Ensors Road, Technical College A defeated St Andrews College by 20 points to 6. Referee, Mr 1 J. Nicol. The match between West Christchurch District High School and St Bede’s College was not played. Technical College B had the bye.
