COURT MAKES REDUCTION, Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. July 18. Mr Justice Stringer gave decisior in the Supreme Court on a motion by the Auckland Taxi Owners’ Associa tion for an order quashing a by-la,: increasing the annual license fee frorr Cl to £7 10s and CIO, according t-. the weight of the vehicle. His Honor said that to levy sucl an amount upon a comparatively sma! section of persons under the guise o' license fees on vehicles plying for lnr v was oppressive and unequal in it.operation.
