A request for the erection of additional lamps in Rose Street, Spreydon. was contained in a petition (signed by fifteen people), presented to tlie City Council last night. The petitioners stated that recently additional lamps were installed, but after the expiration of a week or two, the Electricity Department not only removed the additional lamps but altered the position of the others so that the street now in most places is in perfect darkness. The petition was referred to the Electricity Committee.
