Since I first outlined the Imperial airship scheme in 1921, we have endeavoured to got successive Governments definitely to commit themselves on this question. The present Cabi.iet’s decision will enable practical tesds at last to be carried out.

“I have no doubt the tests will be successful, and when the experimental pmiod is ended it will be found that a number ot companies will commence operations, connecting not only the Empire, but other countries as well. This decision is the forerunner of tho biggest improvement in speeding up Empire communications yet determined.”
