MINISTERIAL. The Hon G. J. Anderson, Minister of Mines, left for Gore and Invercargill by the first express this mornig. He intends first visiting bis electorate, Mataura. He will open the Invercargill Show, returning to Christhcurch on Thursday. Dr Owen Johnson was a passenger from the north this morning. Mr A. Wheeler arrived by this morning’s ferry-boat. The Rev S. Lawry is paying a visit to the West Coast. Mr E. J. Howard. M.P.. was a pasI senger for the south by the first express this morning. At this week’s meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Referees’ Association a motion of sympathy was passed with one of the members. Mr E. E. Luttrell, on the death of his father, i The Rev F. E. Harry, president of the Wellington Ministers’ Association, will arrive in Christchurch on Tuesday morning to hold a special mission at the Lin wood Baptist Church. A Sydney cable says that Dr Edward Anderson, principal of St Andrew's College, has been appointed to the Cliair of Hebrew at the College in succession t-o Dr Andrew Harper, who has resigned.
