A scheme hv which the St. Andrew's Old Bovs' Association should form part of the Canterbury Caledonian Society has been under consideration by the directors of the society, and was referred to at the annual meeting of the societv bv the president, Mr C. S Thomas, who' said that the Old Boys’ Association, without being hostile ti> the suggestion, did not consider the time was ripe to give effect to it. The idea, was, Mr Thomas explained, to make the society a. centre for athletic* and football, and to increase the membership of the society, especially the. membership of young fellows between 18 and 24, with the very fine idea'.* that animated the lads attending the College. The College Old Boys’ Assnciation. however, wanted to feel their feet before doing anything in the matter. After consulting with the presi dent of the College Old Boys’ Association, the names of Messrs J. Dowling and C. Corshie .had been suggested a l * representatives on the directorate of the society. The gentlemen nanud were elected directors at lost night's meeting.
