The saying, “ Mind your P’s and Q’s,” meaning ‘‘ Ba very careful,” originated in printing offices. When type is set up the letters are reversed, and small “ p's ” and “ q’s ” Avere liable to be mistaken for each other. Machine type setting has made the Avarning obsolete.
