RANGXORA HIGH SCHOOL BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Rangier a. High School Board was held last evening There were present—Messrs R. Ball (presiding). W. Boyd, W. Satker, C. W, Bell J, Marshall and C. 1. Jennings.. A letter was received from Mr .T. Caughley, Director of Education, referling to Several matters concerning the school, which Mr Jennings had placed before him when in Wellington recently . Mr Jennings reported in detail on his interview' with Mr Caughley and was thanked for the services ho had ren derod in that connection. Miss Jarrett. commercial teacher, wrote resigning from the staff as from July 1 in consequence of. retiring from the teaching piofession. The resignation was accepted and it was resolved to forward Miss Jarrett an expression of the board’s appreciation of her services. It was decider! t.r advertise at once for a, teacher to fill the vacancy. The Education Beard wrote notifying the re-appointment of Mr W. Stalker a* its representative on the hoard. On behalf of the agricultural committee Mr Stalker submitted the balance sheet, in connection with the wheat crop grown on seven and a half aci.es of *he school farm. The crop yielded inset over forty bushels to the. acre and the wheat and straw were pold for £IOO Os. The expenditure was £lo 12s 6d. leaving a. credit balance of £sf 10* 6d.
