WANGANUI TRAINING NOTES. (Special fco the ‘ Star.”) WANGANUI. May 14. Light showers fell early, hut the weather cleared for training operations. Eonmark ran five furlongs in linin 6 l-sseo. Mireuaonta. stayed very nicely in running half a mile in 30sec by himself. Crucell© and Musical covered a mile, finishing together in Imin 46 ]-ssec, both going along well at the finish. Tam© Fox and Demand finished together at the end of a mile with Mountain Crag a couple of lengths back, the time being lmin 46 2-oeec. The first, half took 34aecs. Tara© Fox was going along well at the finish. Battle Knight strode out nicely in running six furlongs in Jmin 16 2-ssee. Eli Route and Spoony ran six furlongs. the last five in lmin osec. Militaire and Puwaro wett a round over the hurdles, the former staying best. Bonnet ter and Solfanello sprinted five furlongs in lmin Gsec, finishing abreast. Comical and Diamond Ring left half a mile behind in oOsec. Black Art and Buckeye were put over the hencoop and tli© brush, jumping cleanly. Birkenella and Rowan were companions over the fences, but neither jumped well. Birkenella only just scrambled over the double. Starland, Master Beckworth. Dick, T© IMoire, Oakieigh, Peter A mans ( Royal Fame. Tractive, Black Cruisfer, Alaric Veloeiform, Gidgi, Civility, and a number of others did useful work.
