Two o’clock to-morrow afternoon will witness the opening of the Winter Show of the Canterbury A. and P. Association at the Show Grounds. Ail - j dmgtou. It is many years since a i winter show was held in Christchurch, f and in consequence it will be a decid- j ed novelty to many people. The ex-j bibits number close on 800, and in ad ! dition there are a host of side shows, i whilst many attractive entertainments j will he given every afternoon. Tho pjogramme for to-morrow afternoon ! consists of children’s pony events (un- 1 der 14 hands and under 12 hands) ; ! musical chairs on horseback; and ' schools’ relay foot races, open to j primary school children (1) under | twelve, (2) under fourteen. The Win- j ter Show will also be open on Thurs- j day. Friday and Saturday, from 10 a in. till 10 p.m. Suitable programmes of music will be given afternoon and evening by Derry’s Band. Tho price of admission is Is for adults, children under sixteen half-price.
