POULTRY CLUB.
A meeting of the Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon. Canarv and Cat Club was heia last night. Mr G. E. Jefferies presiding. It was decided to allow New Plymouth and Wellington fanciers present at the club's show, which will be held on June 6, 6 and 7, to have delivery of their birds in order that they may take them home with them by the Saturday night's ferry boat. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mr T. Strange in liis recent bereavement. Mr Strange was secretary of the club about years ago. The Municipal Electrical Department's tender of £lO to instal electric light in the King Edward Barracks in winch the show will be held, was accepted. Five new members were elected. It was decided to leave the purchasing of about 700 netrol cases which will be used instead of trestles to stage the birds at the show, to the club's executive.
