ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY’S CONCERT.

The Christchurch Orchestral Society's first concert of the 1924 season, will be held in the Choral Hall on "Wednesday. May 14. The society's full orchestra ot seventy performers will play the overture. “The Water (airier (Cherubini). “Oxford Symphony G Major” (Haydn>. selection from the opera. “La Bohome ” (Puccini), shite. “ Foramors ” (Rubinstein). The whole four numbers, of this popular suite are being jlayed. .1 he orchestra will appear under the eonductorship of Mr Angus Gunter. The soloist will be Mr Tieslie Fleming, whose numbers will include “Song of the Toreador” (from “Carmen”) (Bizet), “I Know a Lovely Garden” (D’Hardelot). “Dream Tryst” ICadman. The accompanist will bo Mr L. Lewin. The box plan of reserved seats will open this (Monday) morning at- The Bristol, at 9 a.m.
