A ROUGH AND READY DEFINITION. ** Do you expect your wire’s husband to pay?” Mr H. Y. AVkldowson, S.M., asked ot‘ one of th© parties in a maintenance case to-day. Tho description sounded unusual. A man who had been divorced by his wife sought to have tho amount of a main- 1 ten a nee order reduced. Tlie ex-wife had re-married, but her me west name was not known to the Court, hence the Magistrate’s choice of description. Incidentally tho wife told the Court that the arrangement of marriage with her second husband was subject to the condition that her two children would be kept by the former husband The husband, in reply to the Magistrate, said he did not want his children kept by tho second husband, but he could not afford to keep up the payments. The order was not varied.
