PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP. THE CONCLUDING GAMES. The concluding games in the champion of champions pairs competition of the Christchurch Bowling Centre were played on the Edgeware Club's green this afternoon under favourable condition!*. The green wan in good order. In the semifinals Opawa defeated Canterbury by 20 points to 16 and Kaiapoi Working Men's Club defeated Christchurch by 39 points to 18. The final between Opawa. and Kaiapoi Working Men's Club was played immediately afterwards. The following aro the results:— SEMI-FINALS. Opawa (IT. Wilkinson and F. Steans) 20 v. Canterbury (W. H. Haggcr and R. Haworth) 16. Kaiapoi W.M.C. (T. Gray and E. Monk) 39 v. Christ church (R. Wallace and W. Helliwell) 18 NOTES ON THE GAMES. Opawa t. Canterbury.—The score after the seventh head wrb 6 to 4 in favour of Opawa. Opawa maintained the lead until the twelfth heaj.l, when Canterbury drew level. After the fourteenth head Canterbury led 14-11. Canterbury kept in the lead until Opawa scored five in the nineteenth head, making the scores: Opawa 17, Canterbury 16. Opawa scored another trio in the twentieth head and a slugle in the last head, winning by a margin of four points.

Kaiapoi Working Men’s Club v. Christchurch.—The scores in the early stages of the game were very even. After tlio seventh head Kaiapoi led 7-5. This advantage was maintained till the fourteenth head, when the scores read: Kaiapoi 16. Christchurch 8. When the last head was commenced the scores were: Kaiapoi 19. Christchurch 13. The Christchurch pair were lying five when Helliwcll sent up his last bowl. It caught another bowl and just missed getting into tho head and giving him a score of six, which would have made the scores even. Kaiapoi won by a single point.
