MAIREHAU CLUB Y S MEETING. Tho ilairehttu Cycling Club held a meet - ing at English Park thia afternoon. There was a very fair attendance of the public. Tho t.raek was in good ordor. and the various events were keenly contested. During the afternoon R. Bradley made au attempt on the unpaced mile reoord of 2min 16sec, at preeenfc held by A. Leathern. There was a fairly stiff southerly wind blowing, and the rider had to contend against this all down the back stretch. His time was 2min 26 3-osec. and so he was not successful.
