JUNIOR GRADE. St John's (241) defeated Upper I&ccarton (SO aud 73). Cox made 17, Fletcher 15. Roper 12. Recvea_four for 80 took the wickets for St John's. City Council 128 and 8 for eight wickets (Fletcher 28, Smith 19. Wilson 14). Packer and Jones in their first innings made 130. NEW SOUTH WALES TEAM.
The New South WaJee cricket team ia expected to sail from Sydney to New Zea land by the L'limaroa on February 2, and should arrive in Wellington about February 6. The team will be in New Zea land on seven Saturdays, of which iour will be occupied by matches with major associations, two in testa, the remaining one with a match at Wanganui. The rest of the tour is filled in with mid-week matches. The first match begins at Wellington on Friday, February 8. according to the itinerary drawn up by the New Zealand Cricket Council. It had been intended to start the. matches in the South Island, but owing to race meetings occupying certain dates this idea had to be abandoned; in fact, as is usual in suoh matters, some difficulty was experienced in arranging dates. Altogether the visitors will participate in twelve matches. The following is the itinerary:— February 8. 9, 11, v. Wellington, at Wellington. February 12, 13, v.
