ALL FLAMM.
by
SINBAD.
A German professor has made it his aim to work out a submarine great; he doubtless has roseate visions of faipe and this he has ventured to state:—“There is a great vessel that I have designed, an unchallenged king of the sea, by which all the oceans could quickly he mined, and all the great ships made to flee. It’s easily managed down under the foam, and almost untold is its power : in depths of the ocean its always at home; of U-boats it sure is the flower. If Deutschland had had such a submarine great, in terrible seasons of war, the lot of the vanquished would not he our fate, now that the grim struggle is o’er. Our all-powerful Kaiser would reign in the Strand, and Willy, his son, in Paree ; a statue of Tirpitz the Yanks would see stand, to shadow the ' Land of the Free.’ ” This German professor is reckoned most wise; but worried wo ought not to get; this great submarine the whole world to surprise is only on paper as vet.
