Advice -was received from the Otago Association yesterday that tbe team select ed for its northern tour, the first match of which will be against Canterbury, commencing at Lancaster Park on Christmas Day, is as follows:—Alloo (2), R. D. Worker, Douglas, Dunning, J. Sheppard (captain), Rev O. Blamlrea, J. Galland. M'Mullan. Knight, Chadwick and Torrens. The selection of tbe Canterbury team, who are the defenders of the Plunket Shield thiß season, has already been published. Meantime, good aolid practice is going on. and the prospects are for a very keen contest. This match will be the diamond jubilee of tlie Ota go-Can ter bury representative games and added interest will be found in the assembly of ex-repre-sentative veterans who arc visiting Christchurch from Otago to meet the Canterbury veterans. Play commences at 2.15 p.m. on Christmas Day. and at 11 a.m. on Boxing Day and following days during which the match will be continued. Afternoon tea and luncheon will he available at Lancaster Park, and the prices of admission have been placed on a popular basis at 2s plus tax for the enclosure and stands, and Is for the embankment.
