A UNIQUE CASE.

AFTER HOURS TRADE. Per Press Association. KAWERA, December 20. A case believed to be unique was heard here to-day. George Appleyard, William Corcoran and Timothy Patrick Harris were charged with aiding a barman in the commission of an offence punishable on summary conviction, unlawfully supplying liquor after hours. The Magistrate said the evidence was that the barman did not want to supply tho liquor, but tho defendant overcame his scruples and persuaded him to break the law. They were convicted and each was fined £3.
