HOLIDAY TRIPS.
BY SINBAD. Now that, the year of labour ends, the mind from daily habit slips; and thus it is that all my friends are planning great vacation trips. With chuckles Jones is going round—he's made a. party up with Black, and they will walk to Milford Sound along the famous Milford Track. O'Boyle is going to the Coa.st to see the Exhibition there, and Robinson his face will toast in Hannier’s hot and sultry air. M’Duff will fish some silver brook, and find the leisure very nice, while Smith is. going to Mount Cook, to scramble o’er the rocks and ice. To Stewart Island Barr is bent, and how his eyes with pleasure glow ; while Anderson, on thrills intent, to Rotorua. hopes to go. At Queenstown Johnson, lucky man, on Monday next experts to be ; a. holiday does Wilson plan at Aknroa, by the. sea. With sorrow do T watch them go, the whole Dominion wide to roam ; ala«. too truly do I know my holiday lies here at home.
