HOTEL BURNED.
Per Press Association. DARGAYJLLE. December 20. The Tangiterona hotel, a twenty-three-roomed wooden building, was destroyed by fire at. 3.20 this morning. The building, which was fairly old, stood oil a commanding height. A heavy gale was blowing and as no water was available it was impossible to save the hotel. The licensee (Mr H. E. J. Rea) and his family, and also a number of hoarders, had a fortunate cscape. The insurances on the building, which was owned bv JL. D. Nathan, of | Auckland, are not available.
