WEDDINGS.

LINDLEY—BICKNELLL. A wedding took place recently in the East Belt Methodist Church, the contracting parties being Doreth, second daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Bicknell. of Timaru and George Henry, fifth son of Mr and Mrs T. Liadley, of Glasgow, Scotland. The Kev E. D. Patchett performed the ceremony and Miss G. Harris presided at the organ. The bride, who wat given away by her father, was attired in a pretty frock of white marocain with sleeves of silver lace, the waist being defined by a trail of silver tissue and pearls. An embroidered net veil held in place with a circlet of orange blossom was worn. A bouquet of white flowers and fern with streamers of tulle completed the toilette. The bride w&s attended by Miss Gladys Hastings/ who wore mauve marocain with a berthe and sleeves of georgette, and a mauve and silver girdle finished with a silver rosette. Her shoes and stockings were mauve to match, and her hat was of silver lace and mauve- tulle. She carried a bouquet of mauve and pink flowers and fern with pink streamers. The bridegroom - was attended by Mr L Barwell as best man.

A number of guest.: were afterwards entertained at Dixieland, which was decorated with mauve and pink powers and streamers. The guests were received by Mrs Bicknell, who wore black marocain beaded in gold made with a vestee of oriental embroidery. Her hat was to match and she carried a bouquet of golden roses Mrs E. Lindley xvore black satin with sleeves of cherry-coloured georgette, and a hat to match. The bride travelled in a grey marocain costume with feathertrimmed hat and fur to match. FISHER—PATRICK. A wedding was solemnised at St David’s Presbyterian Church yesterday afternoon, when Miss Belle Patrick, third daughter of Mr R. Patrick and the late Mrs Patrick, Opawa Road, was married to Mr Charles George Fisher, of Leeston.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a simple frock of ivory brocaded satin with peasant sleeves of georgette. Her filmy veil was embroidered in silver and held in place with a wreath of silver leaves, and she wore silver shoes and stockings and carried a shower bouquet of roses. The brides, maid was Miss Jan Patrick, sister of tho bride, and the best man was Mr Alexander Bonny. Two little flower girls. Noeline and Ngaire Patrick, nieces of tho* bride wore dainty frocks of pink taffetas and net bows with a streamer effect on their hair- They carried posies of mauve and pink. The bridesmaid wore a becoming frock of almond green ckarmeuse with sleeves of radium lace, ribbons of brown were suspended from the shoulders and hung below the frock at the back. Her hat Avas of golden brown with large dropping plumes, and she carried a bouqi:et of shades of light browns.

After the ceremony a reception was held at Dixieland, which was prettily decorated with flowers and paper streamers. The guests were received by Miss Helen Patrick, who wore a handsome frock of putty coloured marocain and a white hat. Mrs L Hill-, Wellington, the bride’s sister, wore a smart costume of rust gaberdine neavily embroidered and a hat of gold lace and tissue. When Mr and Mrs Fisher left for the south, where the bridal tour is to. be spent, the bride wore a smart suit of mauve embroidered cloth, the top having a cape effect. A hat of silver tissue with trimmings of Trench flowers and a smart, grey wrap completed a becoming travelling toilette.
