A DRUNKEN DRIVER.
Per. Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 14. In the Police Court, John Kelly was sentenced to fourteen days’ hard labour for being drunk while in charge of a motor-car. He was captured after a sensational chase through two suburbs by the police in another motor car. Kelly’s car eventually crashed into the pave ment and capsized. Kelly escaped death by a miracle, his injuries being limited to cuts on the head.
