ANNIVERSARY DAY CELEBRATIONS.

Arrangements are being made for a proper celebration of Anniversary Day this year. Until last year, the day had not been celebrated in a fitting manner for a long time. The recentlyformed Pilgrims’ Association is in charge of the affairs, and it hopes to make the celebration a great success. A very lengthy programme which has been arranged will include the follow-

ing functions:—The fete in the Botanical Gardens to-morrow afternoon: the open-air choral service in the Hospital gardens at 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, when members of local musical societies, nurses’ choir, local church choirs, and the Salvation Army Band will take part; and a young people’s service at 3 o’clock and Divine service, both in the Cathedral. The Archbishop will preach the sermon.
