Tbe first battle of the new Mexican revolution resulted in 300 deaths and the capture by the rebels of Jalapa with 200 prisoners, including several famous loyal generals. Mexico, meanwhile, is thrown into turmoil. Crosscountry railway communication has ceased, and business is suffering, especially that of foreign oil companies, whose shipments are being held UJI.
