At Chicago four world's swimming re cords were broken in the inter-scholastic Johnny Weismuller, using the Australian crawl, swam 1(H) metres in 58 3-Ssec, achieving his fiftieth world’s record. Peggy Williamson swam 200 yards, breast-stroke, in lmin 55 4-ssec. and Sybil Bauer swam ]OJ metres, back-stroke, in .so 3-ssec. John Earley swain 100 yards, breast stroke- iu 69 3-ssec.
