JENNINGS-GRAY CONCERT.

The combination of classic song and dance appears to b.e a happy one from a glance at the programme of the performance for next Wednesday at the Caledonian Halt. It lias been so arranged that th© part songs by the choral singers (5.A.T.8.) will lead naturally into the symbolic dances by, pupils of the Peters-Grey school of dance, and vice-versa. The entire proceeds are to be given to St Anne’s Guild for the funds of St Anne’s Home for Girls, and the promoters are confident that, owing to the excellence of the programme and the cause which it is to help there will he a large audience. Miss Jennings herself will sing folk songs with choral accompaniment, and there will be bright operatic choruses—a particularly pleasing one being “Love is Meant to Make us Glad,” from “ Mcrrie England.” Miss Mulvany Gray will appeat in a scene from the mime play “ I ’Enfant Prodigue.” and will interpret in dance Grieg’s «* Spring.” A duo for two pianos by Mrs Cyril ’White and Miss Alice Carter, and a duo for two ’cellos by Misses Nancie Hume and Rena Algie will be interesting instrumental items.
